About Department
Physics (from Ancient Greek, phusikḗ (epistḗmē) "knowledge of nature", from phúsis "nature") is the natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion and behaviour through space and time.
Departmental Profile
The department of Physics was instituted from the inception of the Science department in June 2010. Physics as the principal subject was started in June 2012. It offers courses at the Undergraduate levels. The Undergraduate centre offers Material Science, Nanotechnology, Lasers as elective courses at UG level. Presently the department has 2 full time members for UG teaching.
